Taleem is to serve a notice to a party. Generally when a court issues a notice, it is sent to the police for serving to the recipient. The notice is considered binding only in a case if it is served and if it is not served then it is not considered binding on the recipient.

પક્ષકારને સુચના પહોંચાડવી તેને તામિલ કહેવાય છે. સામાન્યત: જયારે ન્યાયાલય સુચના બહાર પાડે છે, ત્યારે પ્રાપ્તકર્તા સુધી પહોંચાડવા માટે તેને પોલીસને મોકલવામાં આવે છે. જો સુચના મોકલી આપવામાં આવી હોય તો માત્ર તેવા કિસ્સામાં જ તે બંધનકર્તા ગણવામાં આવે છે અને જો તે નહીં મોકલી હોય તો પછી તે પ્રાપ્તકર્તા માટે બંધનકર્તા ગણવામાં આવતી નથી.
