defect
Defect – non-fulfillment of a requirement related to an intended or specified use. Indeed, we are faced with an addiction of the product for its inadequacy that occurs when the product fails to perform the quality or quantity expected, based on the information contained in the container, packaging, labeling or advertising message, as determined in the articles 18 and 19 of the Consumer Protection Code. Defects, by definition, are imperfections, deformities, non-functioning of a system or mechanism failure. They are reflections of non-compliance. Nonconformities are noncompliance with specified requirements. They cover the divergence or absence of one or more quality characteristics or elements of the quality system in relation to specified requirements. The basic difference between non-compliance and default is that specified requirements may differ from the requirements for the intended use.
